Couples Counselling in Edinburgh

Relationships can be one of the most important parts of our lives - and also one of the most painful when communication breaks down or distance begins to grow.

At Reconnect Scotland, we provide couples therapy in Edinburgh for partners who want to understand each other better, rebuild trust, and create a stronger, more secure connection.

Whether you are in crisis or simply want to deepen your relationship, therapy offers a steady, supportive place to work through things together.Couples Therapy Edinburgh

Every relationship is different, but many couples come to us when they notice:

  • repeated arguments that go nowhere

  • feeling emotionally disconnected

  • difficulty communicating without escalation

  • challenges around intimacy or sexuality

  • recovering after betrayal

  • parenting or family pressures

  • the sense of becoming more like housemates than partners

You don’t need to wait until things feel unbearable. Many couples attend because they want to care for their relationship before problems grow.

What brings couples to therapy

Our approach

We believe relationships can heal and flourish when people feel safe enough to be fully seen.

Our work is collaborative, compassionate and practical. We help you slow conversations down, understand what sits underneath reactions, and express needs in ways your partner can truly hear.

Therapy is not about deciding who is right or wrong.
It is about helping both of you feel understood.

How sessions work

Sessions usually take place weekly and last 50 minutes.

Both partners attend together. Your therapist guides the conversation, helps create safety when emotions run high, and supports you in recognising patterns that may be difficult to change on your own.

You don’t need to prepare anything in advance. Showing up is enough.

Fees

Couples therapy is £80 per 50-minute session.

After you contact us, we will discuss availability and next steps.

Who you will work with

Couples sessions are currently led by our founding therapist.

You can read more about our team, backgrounds and approaches on our therapists page.

Take the first step

If something here resonates, you are very welcome to get in touch. Reaching out does not commit you to ongoing therapy - it simply begins a conversation about what support might be helpful.
