External Practitioner Sessions – Participant Agreement
(Reconnect Scotland)
Purpose of This Agreement
This agreement applies to all workshops, sessions, and events delivered by external practitioners at Reconnect Scotland.
Reconnect Scotland is a wellbeing and community hub that collaborates with independent facilitators. It is important that participants understand the nature of these collaborations and where responsibility sits.
Nature of Sessions
Sessions hosted at Reconnect Scotland may include wellbeing, creative, or complementary practices.
These sessions are not medical, psychological, or clinical treatments, unless explicitly stated.
Participation is voluntary and intended to support general wellbeing, connection, and personal reflection.
Practitioner Responsibility
All sessions are delivered by independent practitioners.
Each practitioner is solely responsible for:
The content and structure of their session
Assessing suitability and contraindications
Participant safety during the session
Their own professional standards, training, and insurance
Reconnect Scotland does not supervise, regulate, or clinically oversee external practitioners.
Participant Responsibility
By attending any session led by an external practitioner, you confirm that:
You are responsible for assessing whether the session is suitable for your personal circumstances.
You will disclose any relevant health considerations directly to the practitioner if required.
You understand that you may stop or leave a session at any time if you feel uncomfortable.
You participate at your own discretion and responsibility.
Contraindications & Suitability
Some sessions may not be suitable for everyone. This may include (but is not limited to):
Certain physical health conditions
Pregnancy
Neurological sensitivities
Acute mental health difficulties
Specific contraindications will be listed on individual session pages. If in doubt, participants are encouraged to contact the practitioner before booking.

The delivery or outcomes of external practitioner sessions
Any physical, emotional, or psychological effects arising from participation
Responsibility remains entirely with the practitioner and the participant.

By booking or attending a session at Reconnect Scotland facilitated by an external practitioner, you confirm that:
You have read and understood this agreement
You accept the nature of the collaboration
You agree to participate at your own responsibility
