Couples Therapy Edinburgh

Our Approach

We believe that relationships can heal and flourish when people feel safe to be fully seen.
Our work is collaborative, compassionate, and practical - helping you strengthen communication, express needs honestly, and understand the patterns that shape your connections.

All our therapists are qualified, experienced, and grounded in relational, integrative practice. Sessions are private, confidential, and tailored to the unique dynamics of your relationship.

How It Works

Your first session is an opportunity to explore what’s brought you here and to see whether we’re the right fit.
During this 50-minute appointment, we’ll talk about your hopes for therapy, any patterns or challenges in your relationships, and what kind of support might be most helpful.

You don’t need to prepare anything in advance - just bring yourself and a willingness to be open.
After the initial session, we can decide together whether to continue working regularly.

Pricing

We keep our pricing simple and transparent:

  • Individual therapy: £60 per session

  • Two people (any relationship): £80 per session

  • Family therapy: coming soon

What We Help With

Relationships can become strained or confusing for many reasons. Below are some of the common themes that bring people to therapy - though every story is unique.

Communication & Conflict

When talking turns into tension or silence, it can leave you both feeling unheard. Therapy helps you understand what’s really happening beneath the surface and find safer, clearer ways to communicate.

Emotional Disconnection

Sometimes the relationship feels flat - like you’re living side by side but not really together. We help you rediscover warmth and emotional closeness.

Trust, Affairs & Betrayal

When trust is broken, everything can feel uncertain. We offer a safe and structured space to unpack what happened, understand the impact, and decide how to move forward - whether that means rebuilding or parting with care.

Intimacy & Sexuality

Intimacy changes over time. Differences in desire, stress, or past experiences can all affect closeness. We help you rebuild trust, safety, and connection.

Parenting & Family Pressures

Children, blended families, and everyday demands can strain even the strongest partnerships. Therapy helps you reconnect as partners - not just parents.

Life Transitions

Moving in together, marriage, loss, relocation, or other changes can test a relationship’s balance. We’ll work together to navigate these shifts with understanding and steadiness.

Financial & Work Stress

Money worries, time pressures, or uneven responsibilities often create resentment or distance. Therapy provides space to talk openly and rebuild teamwork.

Mental Health & Burnout

When one partner or family member is struggling, it can affect everyone. We help you understand these dynamics and find ways to support each other without losing yourselves.

Identity & Difference

Cultural, neurodiversity, or personality differences can lead to misunderstanding. We help you explore these differences with curiosity - building empathy and stronger connection.

    Odett Toth

    Founder/Integrative Counsellor

Hi, I’m Odett, an integrative therapist trained at the University of Edinburgh and accredited by NCPS. I work with individuals and couples, drawing from both person-centred and psychodynamic approaches.

My experience has included supporting survivors of domestic abuse at Edinburgh Women’s Aid, and working with new parents and families through CrossReach. What draws me most to this work is the relational - the ways we connect with others, and the ways different parts of ourselves relate inside us.

In therapy, I help people explore these patterns, soften old wounds, and find a steadier sense of self and relationship. ReConnect Scotland grew out of that same passion. It’s a space for both inner and shared connection: through therapy, and through community.

My hope is that it offers a place to feel seen, supported, and gently reconnected - with yourself and with others.

    Laura Toth

    Workshop Lead/Psychologist

Hi, I’m Laura - a psychologist based in Scotland and part of the Reconnect Scotland therapy team. I work with young adults navigating the challenges of modern life - from anxiety and self-doubt to relationships, identity, and belonging. My work centres on helping people reconnect with themselves and the world around them, building steadier and more fulfilling ways of being.

Trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I blend evidence-based practice with warmth and curiosity. Sessions are collaborative and grounding - a space to explore what matters most to you, untangle unhelpful patterns, and begin living in line with your values.

Having lived abroad myself, I know how disorienting it can feel to lose a sense of home or community. That experience deepened my belief in the importance of connection - to ourselves, to others, and to the spaces we belong to. It shapes how I work: with openness, empathy, and a genuine belief that meaningful change grows through relationship.

Most of my work is online, offering therapy as a flexible and accessible space - a steady point of connection you can return to, no matter where life finds you.
